Save the date for Carnival week in Looe!

Bradleys Estate Agents in Looe are excited this year to be one of the sponsors of their Carnival week, organised by the Lions Club from Monday 29th July to Saturday 3rd August.
The Carnival is a fun packed week involving various parts of the local community such as Sheil’s School of Dance to Under 13s Mini Fun Run and much more! See the full line up below…
Monday, 29th July - Looe’s Traditional Furry Dance starts from West Looe Square at 7:00pm.
Tuesday, 30th July - Annual Summer Run starts at 7:00pm. For details and entry, see SI Events (SiEntries – Looe Summer Run). Under 13s Mini Fun Run starts at 7:05pm as it begins at Millpool Centre and continues through the woods. Sheila’s School of Dance presents "Princess of the Moors" at Duloe Jubilee Centre at 7:30pm.
Wednesday, 31st July - Children’s Sand Modelling Competition on East Looe Beach from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Sheila’s School of Dance presents "Princess of the Moors" at Duloe Jubilee Centre at 7:30pm.
Thursday, 1st August - Carnival Concert at the RNLI Lifeboat House at 6:30pm. Sheila’s School of Dance presents "Princess of the Moors" at Duloe Jubilee Centre at 7:30pm.
Saturday, 3rd August – Finally Looe’s Grand Carnival Procession to East Looe starts at 6:30pm featuring music by St Pinnock Band including floats and walkers!
The Lions Club of Looe is part of the International Association of Lions Clubs. Lions are members of community service, dedicated to the idea that the men and women who live in a community are in the best position to know who needs help and why. There are over 46,000 of these local clubs and all are part of the world’s largest service club organisation, with over 1.3 million members serving in more than 180 countries and areas. The association is both non-political and non-sectarian. Looe is the oldest Lions Club in Cornwall, having been chartered in 1966.
The mission of all Lions Clubs is “To create and foster a spirit of understanding amongst all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international co-operation”.
The Lions club of Looe supports over 1000 Lions across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset and North Somerset, organising numerous events that help to raise money for good causes and other events that are just good fun. Most of the Lions members live and work in the Looe, Polperro and Pelynt area of Cornwall.
